Momma Gwen Bulky Yarn

Most of my workdays I spend alone in my dye studio talking to myself. So, when I get the opportunity to spend a day with other yarn lovers, it's a treat! On one such day, I had the pleasure taking Tunisian Crochet classes with Toni Lipsey. Her mom, Momma Gwen, was there to help and had us in stitches - both literally and figuratively.  

During a break I whipped out this skein and asked if it was the right weight for a project. It was my first experiment with dyeing this bulky base and the color didn't have a name. Momma Gwen loved this color and I gave it to her as a gift. During the next class, she whipped it up into a crocheted shawlette! I asked her if I could name this color after her and she said yes.
